BAND INFORMATION

Stafford Jazz Society looks forward to welcoming you to the concerts. The following information should answer any questions you may have but if more is required then please contact Nick on:

1. The CONCERT VENUE is Stafford Rangers FC Social Club, Astonfields Road, Stafford. ST16 3BX. The social club telephone number is 01785 602432. <View Map to Venue>

2. CAR PARKING is available immediately outside, adjacent to and on the same level as the venue. A back door (right side of the building facing) allows quick and easy access to the performing end of the concert room. The building is open one hour before the concert begins.

3. Bands are encouraged to SET UP on the dance floor in front of the small stage. This provides a much closer contact with the audience.

5. In compliance with the law for public places our venue is NO SMOKING.

6. Stafford Jazz Society provides an MC for the concert.

7. NO AMPLIFICATION is provided. Bands need to provide their own.

8. NO PIANO is provided. Keyboard players need to provide their own.

9. The venue contains a BAR. A selection of filled rolls, tea, coffee and biscuits is usually available for purchase.

10. BAND PUBLICITY material is always welcome in advance of concerts and is well used in local media outlets. We invite you to complete and return the enclosed Publicity Sheet and regret photographs cannot be returned.

11. Stafford Jazz Society operates an attended INFORMATION TABLE from which Band CDs can be sold and other band literature distributed. We invite you to make use of this facility. Some bands kindly donate a small sales commission to the Society however this is entirely discretionary.

12. BAND FEES are paid at the end of the concert. Unless otherwise instructed payments are in cash.

13. For information only: the following Admission Charges apply to Stafford Jazz Society Sunday Lunchtime Concerts: Members: £3 Non-Members: £4. These charges are waived for band personnel partners.
