INFORMATION FOR VISITING BANDS 2012

CONCERT VENUE: Stafford Rangers FC Social Club, Astonfields Road, Stafford. For 'SAT NAVS' the post code is ST16 3BX. The social club telephone number is 01785 602432.

 CAR PARKING Available immediately outside, adjacent to and on the same level as the venue. A back door (right side of the building facing) allows quick and easy access to the performing end of the concert room/s Note: The building is open one hour before the concert begins.

BAND SET UP The preferred set-up for our audiences is two-tier using both the stage and the front-of-stage space. This gives good visibility of both front and back lines and helps create good / close audience contact / atmosphere.

BAND PRESENTATION Stafford Jazz Society welcomes well presented bands. Smart dress / band uniform is always preferred.

CONCERT TIMINGS (Sundays):

Regular Concerts: 12.30 to 2.30 (Two 50 minute sets with 20 minutes interval)
Extended Concerts 12.30 to 3.00 (Two 60 minute sets with 30 minutes interval)

Raffle: Drawn during an interval break not to interrupt the music.

No Smoking: In compliance with the law for public places.

MC: Stafford Jazz Society provides an MC for the concert.

AMPLIFICATION: NOT provided. Bands need to provide their own.

PIANO/KEYBOARD: NOT provided. Musicians need to provide their own.

BAR: A well-stocked and competitively priced bar is available. Home- baked light refreshments are also available.

PUBLICITY: Band Promotional material is always welcome in advance of concerts and is well-used in local media outlets. We invite you to complete and return our Publicity pro-forma and regret photographs cannot be returned.

INFORMATION TABLE: An attended point of sale and information is available where Band CDs can be sold and other band literature distributed. Some bands kindly donate a small sales commission to the society however this is entirely at the bandleader's discretion.

BAND FEES: Band payments for regular concerts are calculated on a sliding scale based upon band size. Extended concerts are to a set fee. Payment is at the end of the concert and unless otherwise stated is cash in hand.
